Connecting to your local area network (LAN) or wireless network

By connecting the Ethenet cable to the port labeled LAN RJ45 at the back of the Helios X5000, it will obtain an IP address automatically as long as your router is DHCP enabled. Alternately, you can configure this manually.

Wireless network connection

After switching the preferred connection to wireless mode in setup, the Helios X5000 can detect the access point automatically. The Helios X5000 supports both WEP and WPA encryption.

Streaming media content from a computer or NAS server
NAS Server
If your NAS server supports the UPnP protocol, the Helios X5000 is able to detect  and automatically stream all of your media content to it  without  the need of additional software.

Computer streaming
Helio’s NeoLink server application enables you to organize your media files and stream the content into your computer.
NeoLink software is currently compatible with Microsoft Windows only.  However, there are alternatives for Mac and Linux users such as EyeConnect (Mac) and Wizd (Linux).
